Radiothon and Hospital Visit

What an enriching day I had today at MU Children's Hospital. I spent the morning working with the local Radiothon by answering phones for the 4 Zimmer Radio Group radio stations that were onsite promoting the radiothon. Many miracle children were on hand with their parents telling their stories about what MU Childrens' Hospital has done to help their family. It was so great meeting so many people that work right here in my own community helping children and families in need. The hospital was such a warm and welcoming place to these kids and all of the staff seemed to be like family to them.

In the afternoon, I had the opportunity to visit children that were admitted to the hospital. I saw children as young as 2 years old up through 17 years old. It was so humbling to speak with them and bring a little sunshine to their day as a special visitor. Thank you to MU Children's Hospital staff for having me and for everything you do for our community! The Radiothon raised more than $226,000 in the past 2 days for this great organization! Thank you for your support.

2014 Miracle For Kids Radiothon

This week Zimmer Radio Group will be hosting the Miracles for Kids Radiothon on Thursday, February 27th and Friday, February 28th. I will be answering phones on Friday for this important cause!  Please listen to the miracle stories and call in and make whatever donation that you can.  Listen for a Miracle Match where a corporate sponsor will match your donation and raise more money for Children's Hospital. I hope to hear from you on Friday!

I had a great time today at the Rock Bridge Boys Basketball game. My friend, Sara, and I were watching it with these cute fans, Brekyn and Braylee, who quickly became some of my fans when they learned I am a titleholder. I was more than happy to give them an autograph card and cheer on the Bruins with them!  Future Princesses...

Today I had the opportunity to meet with Kristen Fritschie at Children's Hospital to present her with the money that I earned from my Fitness Fun day on January 11. We had 60 kids turn out for this event to learn about how fitness can be fun and raise money for MU Children's Hospital. I'm looking forward to another Fitness Fun Day in the near future!
