Thank you Michelle Obama

Shout out to our fabulous FLOTUS, Michelle Obama!  I admire her so much for the work that she has done with her "Let's Move" campaign in reforming school lunches and encouraging everyone in our country to notice their health and fitness and strive for improvement. I'm sure she will continue to promote this message even as a private citizen. I applaud your efforts and intend to continue to do what I can to make a difference in my community as well.

Little Princess Program

The little sister/princess program is one of my favorite aspects of the Miss America Organization. Each contestant gets to mentor one girl ages 4-12 and take her under her wing at Miss Missouri. My little princess is Katelynn Parker and we have had a lot of fun together through this program! We went to Disney World together, performed a dance together at Miss Springfield, rode in a parade together at Miss Missouri and so much more. This photo was taken after our dance recital. I am proud to say that Katelynn has grown immensely through this program and had a great time performing in her first dance recital! I'm so excited to share Miss Missouri with her!

Boonslick Kiwanis Meeting

It was an early wake up call for me this morning... I was honored to speak to the Boonslick Kiwanis Club! I am thankful for the opportunity to share more about myself, the Miss America Organization, Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, and Operation Fit Kids. One of my favorite moments of the morning was meeting two graduates of THE Ohio State University! ‪#‎service‬ ‪#‎scholarship‬ ‪#‎kiwanis‬ ‪#‎missamerica‬

Success

Countdown to the crown day 6 is today! Success is one of the points of the Miss America crown. MAO empowers women across the country to strive for excellence in every avenue of her life. The skills I have gained from this organization are unparalleled to any others in my life. I hope to use my experiences from the Miss America Organization to become a hospital administrator of a successful children's hospital. Pictured with me are my first pageant directors Dawn Achtermann Williams and Dave Williams along with my first sister queen and former Miss Missouri's Outstanding Teen,Charlee Bisch When we had our send off party, Dawn and Dave gave me a beautiful pin to wear on my sash. They told each of their titleholders which point of the crown they believed they represented the most. My point was ‪#‎success‬. I will always remember this memory I shared with people who constantly support me and encourage me to grow. ‪#‎theresheis‬
