The little sister/princess program is one of my favorite aspects of the Miss America Organization. Each contestant gets to mentor one girl ages 4-12 and take her under her wing at Miss Missouri. My little princess is Katelynn Parker and we have had a lot of fun together through this program! We went to Disney World together, performed a dance together at Miss Springfield, rode in a parade together at Miss Missouri and so much more. This photo was taken after our dance recital. I am proud to say that Katelynn has grown immensely through this program and had a great time performing in her first dance recital! I'm so excited to share Miss Missouri with her!
This blog will take you on my journey as I serve my platform Operation Fit Kids and as a Children's Miracle Network ambassador.

speak to the Boonslick Kiwanis Club! I am thankful for the opportunity
to share more about myself, the Miss America Organization, Children's

Success
Countdown to the crown day 6 is today! Success is one of the points of
the Miss America crown. MAO empowers women across the country to strive
for excellence in every avenue of her life. The skills I have gained
from this organization are unparalleled to any others in my life. I hope
to use my experiences from the Miss America Organization to become a
hospital administrator of a successful children's hospital. Pictured
with me are my first pageant directors Dawn Achtermann Williams and Dave Williams along with my first sister queen and former Miss Missouri's Outstanding Teen,Charlee Bisch
When we had our send off party, Dawn and Dave gave me a beautiful pin
to wear on my sash. They told each of their titleholders which point of
the crown they believed they represented the most. My point was #success. I will always remember this memory I shared with people who constantly support me and encourage me to grow. #theresheis

Dancing for Charity
I had a great time closing the dance season at my 5 recitals this weekend! Every year, we
donate the money from the ticket sales and I am proud to say that this
year, we raised over $30,000 for Great Circle, Leadership through
Education & Advocacy for the Deaf Institute, and Woodhaven. Thank
you to Lizzy's Lifesavers
for coming to support me! A huge shout out to my little princess Katelynn who
started taking dance this year! She rocked it on stage and had a blast this weekend!

Spring Break Rejuvenation
I am fortunate to have an annual week long Spring Break at my school. My family and I normally plan a trip to a warm weather destination, but this year we decided to visit my sister who moved to New York City last summer. Spring Break is a great time to break away from the every day norms and get to do something different. I was able to visit Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center, go on stage at Radio City Music Hall, enjoy delicious french macaroons at Laduree, and visit Central Park on a beautiful sunny day! Shopping, relaxing and pageant prep were all on my agenda and to end my Spring Break week I visited The Ohio State University which I hope to attend in 2017! The dance team was having a prep clinic for future dancers, so this is a great opportunity for me to make contacts, get questions answered and find out what life as a dancer in college would be like. I hated missing my pageant team's Branson Showcase, but am so proud to be sister queens with all of the girls who earned $3,500 for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals!

Junior Leadership Columbia visits Jefferson City
I had a great time exploring the capital with my Junior Leadership Columbia group. This is a wonderful program that I am proud to be a part of. We were introduced on the House Floor by Missouri delegation, visited with Supreme Court Judge Mary Rhodes Russell, discussed our community with our local delegation and met with State Auditor Nicole Galloway!

Fun with Food and Fitness
I had an awesome time at Rock Bridge Elementary School today discussing
eating healthy and working out! This week, I spoke with my first
graders about the dairy food group and how that makes us have stronger
bones and teeth! We also exercised while playing a game called "Milk
Moves". It is so exciting to help teach these students about nutrition
and healthy living.

IHOP Pancake Day
IHOP National Pancake Day is complete! I have enjoyed this day for the past four years as a title holder for the Miss America Organization. What a wonderful holiday to raise money and awareness for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals! Customers were very pleased to hear that all of their donations will stay local... This is just one of the aspects of Children's Miracle Network that makes it so tremendous. I hope you were able to make it to IHOP to enjoy pancakes and make a difference! #nationalpancakeday #cmn #maot

What an AMAZING day spent at the Miss Amazing Pageant! I enjoyed making
friends, celebrating inner beauty, and empowering women! My buddy,
Jessica, performed flawlessly. She even made Miss Missouri McKensie Garber 's day! What a wonderful and special experience this was for everyone involved.
